Alex Aranburu remata en Getxo una gran actuación colectiva

Gran día de ciclismo para Caja Rural-Seguros RGA culminado con la victoria de Alex Aranburu en el Circuito de Getxo-Memorial Ricardo Otxoa. El vasco supo poner la guinda al buen trabajo de sus compañeros, sumando así la cuarta de la temporada y primera para él como ciclista profesional.

La actitud de la escuadra navarra volvió a ser de plena combatividad. Ya desde el inicio se vio con la incursión de Justin Oien en la fuga del día, junto a López-Cózar (EUK), Torres (BBH) y Mihaylov (DMP). Los cuatro se entendieron para hacer camino hasta manejar diferencias superiores a los dos minutos.

El trabajo de Movistar y Euskadi-Murias en cabeza de pelotón fue limando las diferencias hasta echar abajo la escapada. A partir de ahí, cada ataque tuvo el protagonismo de un corredor de Caja Rural-Seguros RGA: primero Fabricio Ferrari, luego Álvaro Cuadros seguido de Miguel Ángel Benito, provocando un final de carrera precioso. A doscientos metros llegó el ataque decisivo de un Aranburu que no miró atrás hasta alzar los brazos por delante de Carlos Barbero (MOV) y Jon Aberasturi (EUS).

Alex Aranburu: «La presencia de Justin en la fuga nos ha permitido ir tranquilos en la primera parte de la carrera. En el tramo final hemos optado por mover la carrera, saltando a varios ataques para no dar respiro al pelotón. Por suerte he podido rematar el gran trabajo de mis compañeros. Este triunfo me da mucha moral para afrontar el tramo final de la temporada».

The attitude of the green squad was once again full of combativeness. It was proved from the beginning with Justin Oien in the main breakaway of the day, along with López-Cózar (EUK), Torres (BBH) and Mihaylov (DMP). The four worked together to handle differences around two minutes.

The work of Movistar and Euskadi-Murias ahead of the bunch was getting the differences down until the break was over. From there, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA was in every break: first Fabricio Ferrari, then Álvaro Cuadros followed by Miguel Ángel Benito… Two hundred meters away came the decisive attack of Alex Aranburu, who did not look back until he raised his arms in front of Carlos Barbero (MOV) and Jon Aberasturi (EUS).
