The 2020 roster of Caja Rural-Seguros RGA begins to take shape. After the mid-season promotion of Joel Nicolau and Jefferson Cepeda from the development squad, the green team confirms the arrival of the Venezuelan Orluis Aular (Nirgua, 1996), a young cyclist who has accumulated eleven wins during this year.

Aular, who already knows Spain as under 23, has competed this campaign in the Matrix Powertag Japanese. He has achieved a stage victory and the GC of the Tour of Kumano. He also accumulates several podiums and good results in the Tour of Japan or the Tour of Tochigi. Anyway, his main achievements have come in his country, where he won the general classification and five stages of the Vuelta a Venezuela or the ITT National Championship.

The South American is a fast man, but he also stands out in other areas such as the time trials or the hilly stages, as evidenced by his second place in the first stage of the last Vuelta a Asturias. This features, together with its potential and development in recent years, become him a future value for Caja Rural-Seguros RGA.

Orluis Aular: It has been an impressive year, achieving great results both personally and collectively with my team. I knew that I should profit the opportunity in Japan. I was aware that with a great season I could attract the attention of the European teams. In fact, when they told me that we were going to Europe for a couple of races, I knew that I had to do the things well and that it was a good opportunity to let me see.

What motivates me the most to keep fighting it is my family and my loved ones. That is why this year I have focused on doing things very well so that I can make the jump to a professional team. It is a great joy to be able to do it with Caja Rural Seguros RGA, a team that already has many years in the professional field and it is one of the best in Spain. I am very grateful to Juanma Hernández for the opportunity and the confidence they offer me to start this new project.

At the beginning I could not believe it, I felt a great emotion. It is a team that I have always followed and for me it is a great satisfaction to wear their colors next season. I know it will another level, even more demanding, and I have to work hard, so this year I will try to adapt as quickly as possible. My main objective will be to help the team to achieve their objectives.
